3rd annual tour de dufflet - now with sippy bottle!

.
3rd annual Tour de Dufflet during Toronto Bike Month starts on Tuesday!
EAT MORE CAKE, RIDE MORE BIKE

May 25 - June 30, 2010

Daily except Mondays (rain or shine)
Hours:

Tues - Sat 10a-7p
Sundays 12p-5p

Fun for the whole family (and other social units), get a little exercise and something sweet by cycling to all 3 Dufflet cafes in one day! You may bike the Tour in any order, but you must register at the first cafe, and hand in your stamped passport at the third (final) cafe.

Dufflet cafes are located at;
Downtown: 787 Queen St. W. (west of Bathurst)
Uptown: 2638 Yonge St. (south of Lawrence)
Beach: 1917 Queen St. E. (east of Woodbine)

Registered participants will receive a souvenir, refreshments and other goodies with their stamped Tour de Dufflet passports. This year's souvenir is a Tour de Dufflet water-bottle (to the first 200 participants)

$5 registration fee payable on the day of your ride will be donated to the Toronto Cyclist's Union. You do not need to register in advance of your ride.

All completed Tour de Dufflet passports will be eligible for a grand prize draw.

Watch this blog and follow @tourdedufflet on Twitter for updates and photos.

Tour de Dufflet FAQ:
You will visit your beginning location once (to register and receive your first stamp) - you may tour the 3 locations in any order that suits you.

We will offer refreshments to registered participants at all 3 locations. To drink, you will have your choice of spring water, fresh lemonade or regular coffee. To nibble, you will have a choice of something sweet (like a brownie or a cookie) or something savoury (like a spanokopita or samosa). The selection will vary daily at each location.

At the final location (stamp #3) you will hand in your stamped passport to be eligible for the grand prize drawing at the end of bike month, plus you will receive a gift certificate for $5 off your next Dufflet purchase as a reward for completing the Tour de Dufflet 2010!

BUT WAIT - THERE'S MORE! Tweet your Tour de Dufflet photos with the hashtag #TourDeDufflet to be eligible for additional prizes! The Twitter name for each unique photo tweet will be entered in a draw for a cake - so no cheating, but please be tweeting!

Does anyone have a good route map to reach all 3 locations? Looking for a scenic and safe route!

We do hand out City of Toronto bike maps when you ride the tour. You could also check http://bikingtoronto.com/ - riders who participate last year have posted route tips ... hope that helps!

Thanks for finding and posting the comments above.

Really good news! The Tour de Dufflet post at Biking Toronto is getting lots of visits; everybody likes a map to sweetness I guess.
