The 2010 Winter Games are coming to an end this weekend, and what a GAME ON Olympics it has been so far!

Although none of us here at Dufflet Pastries were able to make the trip to Vancouver to enjoy the events in person, one of our favourite customers, Wendy Battler from Waterloo, sent us these photos she took earlier this week when she toured Ontario House.

Top to bottom:

Interactive screen behind the bar/lounge at Ontario House where customers noshed on Dufflet's Iced Brownies and Kahlua Toffee Bars along with other Ontario made gourmet foods and bevvies while playing 4D games or enjoying live music performances.

Serving it up sweet outside Ontario House - Vancouver weather was BLISS for folks walking from pavilion to pavilion.

Sponsor displays inside Ontario House add a homey touch; one of the posters shows Grace, Dufflet's head decorator, adding the finishing touches to a wedding cake.

We are super proud of our athletes and congratulate them whole-heartedly! For a list of Canada's medals won to date, check out CTV http://www.ctvolympics.ca/team-canada/medals/index.html

did dufflet make your wedding cake?

Whether your wedding was last year or 35 years ago, we want your Dufflet wedding cake photos!

We make the cakes, but never get the chance to see you enjoy them, so this spring we will create special wedding displays in our three retail locations to showcase photos of couples next to their Dufflet wedding cakes.

All photos received will be entered into a random draw to win a re-make of the top tier of your Dufflet wedding cake for you and your partner to enjoy! (some restrictions and limitations apply).

How to enter?

From now until March 31st, 2010 please mail, email or drop off photos of your wedding day (showing you and your Dufflet cake). Please include the names of the wedding couple, date of event and any other comments you would like.

winter games > lover games > family games

Kicking off the long weekend in style will be the opening ceremonies for the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver tonight.

Those of you already in Vancouver, please note 3 very important things:
1)  Dufflet brownies will be available in Ontario House
2)  I'm really jealous of you being there playing with all the neat interactive stuff in Ontario House
3)  The first 5 people to TWEET a photo to @tourdedufflet that shows a screen shot of the Dufflet interactive presentation in Ontario house will win something sweet from our Small Indulgences line of confections. (must live in Canada to receive prize!)

It's Valentine's Day on Sunday. Have you pre-ordered your special heart shaped cake yet? If the answer is no, I would not want to be you on Sunday *insert sad face here*

Monday is Family Day, and both Dufflet Downtown and Uptown will be closed.

But WAIT!!! Dufflet Beach will be open from 11am to 5pm and will have a section in the dining room where kids can decorate their own cupcakes. *sprinkle fights discouraged*

GO CANADA!!!
